“For your health in motion” – True to this motto, the family-owned company Strehlow GmbH has been successful in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years and is one of the leading nationwide companies in the medical aid market. Strehlow uses the VISITOUR software for deliveries.

More than 290 employees provide people with medical aids – in home environments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and elderly care facilities. In addition to the delivery and repair of medical aids, the range of services also includes consultation, prevention, and support in health matters.

The challenge: fast action and skill matching

This full service places high demands on employees and the organization of deliveries. Above all, fast action is required, as products are usually needed by the patient as early as the day after the order is received. To ensure the presence of customers during delivery, the planning team must coordinate a large number of delivery dates with customers every day.

In route planning, in addition to this time restriction, the consideration of employee skills also plays a key role. Florian Hänschke, Project Manager for Process and Information Management, emphasizes in this context: “Our goal is to improve the quality of life of our customers. Good on-site consultation plays a significant part in this. To achieve this, we must ensure that the employee who handles the delivery also has the qualifications appropriate for the medical aid or medical care.”

Strehlow offers countless different medical aids and medical services, which, in addition to the framework conditions mentioned above, places an additional requirement on the scheduling of appointments.
